Edward F. Tercha, 86, of North Church Street, Bally, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in his residence.
Born in Longswamp Township, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Fryz) Tercha.
He was a molder for March & Brownback, Pottstown for 20 years and later worked for Unicast as a molder for 30 years until his retirement. He was a private first class in the Marine Corps during WWII. Edward was a loving father and pappy, an avid Civil War buff and his favorite place to visit was Gettysburg. Edward was a great cook, especially baking “cheesecake.”
He is survived by a son, Michael D., husband of Lyn Tercha, of Bethlehem; four daughters: Barbara (Tercha) Ansfree, of Fogelsville, Beverly R. (Tercha), widow of Dennis Stoudt, of Bally, Collette J. (Tercha), wife of Robert Stitt, of Bally, and Renee J.A. (Tercha), wife of Roger Hendricks, Jr., of New Berlinville; a brother, Frank Tercha, of Fogelsville; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. Reverend Chris Stein officiated.
Relatives and friends will be received between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
