Jason A. Roth Jr.

Jason Adam Roth Jr., infant son of Jason Adam Roth Sr. and Cherylann Shelly of Pennsburg, was stillborn July 22, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown.

Surviving, with his parents, is a brother, Skylar; paternal grandparents: Robert Lee and Anne Marie Roth, of Pennsburg; maternal grandparents: James and Tina Shelly, of Quakertown; paternal great-grandparents: Frank and Kathryn Kerver, of Forksville; maternal great-grandparents:  James and Faye Shelly, of Quakertown; aunts and uncles.

Michael W. Spiro

Michael W. Spiro, 66, of Red Hill, died July 24, 2010.  He was the loving husband of Rosemary (Boyle) Spiro.  They were married 43 years in June.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of Rose (Agogino) Spiro, of Philadelphia, and the late Michael Spiro.

He received a B.S. from West Chester University and an M.S. from Rosemont College.  He was a middle school science teacher in Philadelphia for many years before retiring. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Bally; and was a charter member of the Valley Soccer League.  He enjoyed teaching, cooking, chess, being with his friends and country music. He was an avid Eagles fan.

Surviving, with his wife and mother, are daughters: Jennifer, wife of Jamey Eisenberger, of Palm, and Melanie Spiro, of Pittsburgh; a brother, Harold, of North Lauderdale, Florida, and a sister, Patricia Barton, of Philadelphia.

A funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Bally.  A viewing will be from 7:00 –9:00 p.m. Thursday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Friday at church.  For directions and to offer condolences, please visit www.falkfuneralhomes.com.

Ralph E. Graber

Ralph E. Graber, 88, of Hereford, died July 20, 2010 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Goldie (Fox) Graber.

He was born and raised in East Greenville. Ralph served his country honorably in the Army during World War II.  He worked as a wood craftsman at the former Stoke’s furniture factory, and was a longstanding member of Palm Legion Post #184.

Surviving, with his wife, is a son, Carl with whom he resided; a brother, Charles Graber, of Merrimac, Massachusetts; sisters:  Dorothy, wife of Harold Bartholomew, of Zionsville; Mary Houseknecht, of Perkiomenville; and Rose Marie, wife of Asher Kimmel, of Pennsburg; three grandchildren: Jessica, Gordon, and Meghan; and a great-granddaughter, Lillian. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry and a daughter, Sherry.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Palm Schwenkfelder Cemetery, Gravel Pike, Palm with Rev. Homer Royer officiating.

Theresa M. Flanagan

Theresa Marie Flanagan, 51, of Allentown, died on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of Laurette E. (Magee), Pennsburg, and the late Kevin E. Flanagan.

Theresa was working for Gardner Law Offices, Bethlehem. She was an affiliate member of The Bar Association of Lehigh County and was certified in Elder Law from Penn State University and was a 1977 graduate of St. Pius X High School, Pottstown.

Surviving, with her mother, is a brother, Kevin T. Flanagan, and wife, Debbie, of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Laurette A. Lebo, and husband, Irwin, of Allentown and Eileen Williamson, and husband, Mark, of Phoenix, Arizona; two nieces, Devin E. Flanagan and Nicole Stine, and two nephews, Alexander James Lebo and Joel Stine.  Along with her father, she was predeceased by a nephew, Kevin P. Lebo.

A memorial service was held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2010 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Family and friends visited beginning at 7:00 p.m., Monday, in the funeral home.

Marta Aurelia Repa

Marta Aurelia Repa, 98, of Tamarac, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2010 in the Frederick Mennonite Community.

Born in Holy Cross, Czechoslovakia on June 27, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Marta and John Repa.

Marta enjoyed reading, gardening, and taking long walks.  Throughout her life she rescued many small animals.  She was especially fond of cats and she was a friend of the Humane Society.  She will be dearly missed by those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her sister, Anna Moyer, who also lives in the Frederick Mennonite Community; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately and interment will be in New Goshenhoppen U.C.C. Cemetery, East Greenville.
