House organist, Mr. Carl Black, will display his talents playing Christmas music on the Grand's 1923 Marr & Coulton 3/13 Theater Organ 30 minutes prior to each show start.
Starting on Black Friday (Nov. 28), the theater will accept donations and non-perishable food items for The Open Link. Patrons are encouraged to donate items, especially at the free shows. The free shows are the theater's way of giving a Christmas gift to their customers who helped to make the Grand successful.
Also, the Grand Theater will hold an outdoor Christmas display contest. Love Upper Perk will pick the best decorated house and four runners-up. Submissions must be emailed to the Grand Theater at mail@TheGrandTheater.org with the subject of "Christmas Contest" on the subject line. Submissions must be sent by December 12 and the winners will be announced at the 7 p.m. show on Dec. 17.
The winner will be named as the donor of $500 to The Open Link. The four runners-up will be named $100 donors each to The Open Link. The Grand will donate the prize money for the donations. Any businesses who desire to provide additional cash for prizes for The Open Link should contact Ed Buchinski at the Grand Theater.
The Grand Theater invites all area residents to help celebrate a true "Hometown Christmas" and looks forward to making their 10th Annual Christmas Tradition Show the best yet.
