Robert (Bob) Tobin of Holland, PA passed away peacefully Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Abington Memorial Hospital Hospice. He was 70 years old.
Bob was born in New Jersey and raised in Scranton. He graduated from Scranton High School in 1961 and later raised his family in Chapel, PA.
One of Bob’s favorite hobbies was raising and showing St. Bernard dogs. He also loved reading, dancing and travel, his favorite trips being to Ireland and Alaska.
Bob was a proud Navy veteran and worked for Univac Systems for 25 years. He completed his career with the Department of Defense in Lexington Park, Maryland. After retiring in late 2011, he moved to Holland, PA.
Bob was loved by his friends and family for his cheerful, positive outlook, his great ability to listen, and his fantastic smile.
He is sadly missed by his loving wife, Michelle (Klayman Dimirsky), his daughters, Leslie (Adam) Smeltz and Caryn; son Robert, strp-daughers Valerie Kershner and Tara (Guy) Pridy, brother Patrick (Dianne), sister, Mary Ann Welles, and grandsons Paul, Nathan, Zander, Zachary and Joshua. He is also survived by nine loving nieces and nephews and his godson, Eric Stretch,
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Bella Tori at the Mansion 321 S. Bellevue Avenue, Langhorne, PA, on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. A luncheon will follow the celebration.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Abington Memorial Hospital Hospice.
