Edward Hildenbrand, 82, of East Greenville, passed away February 9, 2013 with his family by his side. Ed was the beloved husband of Betty (Wiegner) Hildenbrand. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this past September.
Born in Green Lane, he was the son of the late John and Marguerite (Kerver) Hildenbrand.
He was employed by the former Fred R. Kleinbach & Sons in Green Lane for 43 years before retiring in 1993. Ed was a member of New Goshenhoppen UCC, where he was a past member of the consistory, property and cemetery committees. He was an avid collector of vintage John Deere tractors and Hit-N-Miss engines. Ed also enjoyed custom wood crafting. He was a member of the East Central PA Two Cylinder Club; the Bucks-Mont Two-Cylinder Club; and the Antique Engine Tractor & Toy Club.
Surviving, with his wife, is a son, Roy, and his wife, Brenda, of East Greenville, and granddaughters: Alicia, wife of Maison Longacre, and Kirsten.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville. All are invited to a viewing on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg; and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.
