Barbara Jane Dority

Barbara Jane Dority, 91, of Cayucos, California, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at her home surrounded by family.

Barbara was born in Hanford, California on January 3, 1922.

She attended Stanford University upon graduation from Hanford High School. She married Everette W. Dority in 1941 prior to his deployment to England during WW II. After the war they made their home in Hanford, California.

Barbara and Everette retired to Cayucos and were able to enjoy their retirement together for more than 30 years.

Barbara leaves behind her loving husband of 72 years, Everette; her children, Bill Dority of East Greenville, and Jim Dority of Cayucos, California; her grandchildren, Megan Dority of Cayucos, California, Erin Cammarano of Reading, and Brian Dority of Boyertown; three great-grandchildren and her sister, Betty Akins, of Rancho Murieta, California.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Partners of the Central Coast, 277 South St. / Suite R, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 in Barbara’s memory.
