Ray F. Bittenbender
2012-12-27

        Ray F. Bittenbender, 63, of Boyertown, died on Friday, December 21, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hosptial – Cedar Crest.

        Born in California, he was the son of the late Owen H. and Etta (Fox) Bittenbender.
        He was a 1967 graduate of Boyertown High School. He worked as a weaver at Bally Ribbon Mills for the past 45 years and also performed as a magician under his own name and also as Ray Brodan performing up until October of 2011. He was a member of the Janus Theatre Company of the Upper Perkiomen Valley in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
        Ray was a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church and a member of the Brotherhood of Magicians since 1968.
        He is survived by several cousins and extended family.
        A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Mann-Slonaker   Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with Rev. Rebecca Y. Stephens officiating. Burial follows in Palm Schwenkfelder Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening and also from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home. Share memories and offer condolences to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
        Memorial contribution may be made in his memory to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 81 N. Main Street, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
