Martin “Marty” James Callaghan
2012-12-20
Martin “Marty” James Callaghan, of Quakertown, formerly of Doylestown, passed away at LifeQuest Nursing Home on Saturday, December 15, 2012. He was 79 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas, Sr. and Margaret (Watson) Callaghan.
        Marty was a 1951 graduate of Northeast Catholic High School and served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his brothers, Thomas Callaghan (Ann) of Macungie, Joseph Callaghan (Edna) of Telford and Ed Callaghan of Upland; his sister-in-law, Marie Callaghan of Zepher Hills, Florida, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Paul Callaghan.
A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, PA 19440. A private burial followed in Washington’s Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
