Holiday Season Gets Underway
2012-12-05

Downtown Association hosts day full of activities topped off with a parade welcoming Santa.

 

Joshua Spaar and Autumn Kline load oranges into buckets to be handed out along the parade route.
Area Girl Scouts, dressed as holiday treats, marched in the parade.
Pet owners dressed up their animals for the festive occasion.
Dozens of horses took part in the event billed as the largest animal parade in the region.
The streets were packed full of hundreds of people in front of St. Mark's Church in Pennsburg where many of the day's activities took place.
Catie Oehler controls the reins of her pony, Hershey, pulling her and her mother, Jane, in the parade.
The annual Hometown Christmas event took place on Sunday, highlighted by a parade on Main Street from Red Hill to East Greenville featuring a variety animals, many decked out in holiday decorations.
Santa and Mrs. Claus give a wave to the crowd as they travel up Main Street in their sleigh.
Joseph and Mary, with their donkey, reminded people of the reason for the Christmas season.
The Christmas Grinch gives a wave as he passes by.
