David A. Elchin
2012-09-12

        David A. Elchin, 63, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at his residence.

        He was born on May 28, 1949 in Jersey City, N.J., son of the late Andrew and Stella (Filipczak) Elchin.
        David was a golf professional at many golf courses in the Lehigh Valley and the Pocono’s. Most recently he was the golf professional at Sweet Water Golf Course in Pennsburg. He was a member of the Professional Golf Association. David was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem.
        He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Sara Elchin, of Bethlehem, and several cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Andrew Elchin.
        A prayer service was held at 9:15 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Connell Funeral Home. 245 E. Broad St.. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, Pa. 18015. A viewing was held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening and 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Monday morning at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
        Contributions may be made to The Hope Express in c/o Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018.
