Kermit N. Steffey
2012-09-05

        Kermit N. Steffey, 79, of Bryn Mawr, husband of the late of Anna I. (Kepner) Stefffey, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Bryn Mawr Medical Center, Bryn Mawr.

        Born in Pottstown, Mr. Steffey was the son of the late LeRoy and Sadie Steffey.
        Mr. Steffey was employed in the packing department of Knoll International of East Greenville. He was a member of Saint Mark's Lutheran Church, Pennsburg, and was active with the Hereford Fire Co. and a member of the Hereford Fire Police.
Surviving is one daughter, Robin C., wife of Kenneth D. Groff, Newark, Delaware; one sister, Geraldine Ogin, Fleetwood, and two grandchildren.
        A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at Saint Mark's Lutheran Church, 81 Main St., Pennsburg on Sunday, September 9, 2012. Officiating will be Reverend Charles E. Romanowski. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
        In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to American Heart Assoc., 1617 JFK Blvd., Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
        Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.
