Police search for armed suspect
Pa. State Police are looking for a suspect in the armed robbery at the Turkey Hill store at 3664 Seisholtsville Road (at the intersection with Route 100) Hereford, Berks County, that occurred early Thursday morning.
According to a police report at 1:48 a.m. the suspect, armed with a pocket knife entered the store through the front door and proceeded to jump over the front counter. Once the actor was behind the counter area, she immediately attempted to make entry into the store safe.
The store clerk, who was making coffee at the rear of the store, came to the front counter area where she was confronted by the actor who was wielding a pocket knife in her right hand. The actor demanded the clerk to open the safe and cash registers. The clerk related that she did not have the combination to the safe as she proceeded to open the registers.
Once the registers were opened the actor stole an undetermined amount of money from the register drawers and fled the scene through the front doors and fled west across the parking lot on foot.
Police describe the suspect as a white female, 5’ 6” to 5’8” in height, thin build with blond hair, and blue/green eyes. She was wearing a brown/green hooded sweatshirt with tan in color lettering of “GAP” on the front, gray sweat pants, black gloves and a light-blue, wool winter style cap no her head that was pulled down over her face with cut out eye and mouth holes.
