Great Weekend for a Great Cause

 14th Annual Relay for Life raises funds to find a cure for cancer

 

Team Curves Sisterhood sponsored Zumba, which involves dance and aerobic fitness elements to music.

Matt Ruskey attempts a shot as E.J. Stroman tries to block him during the three-on-three tournament sponsored by Upper Perk High Hoops.

Richard Freed places a sash on cancer survivor Marjorie Hoier after presenting her with the Dorothy Walbert Survivor Award.

This year 41 teams were part of the event. Above, teams carry their banners as they walk in the team parade.

Members of the Valley Choral Society, under the direction of Patricia Conrad, gave a performance Saturday night at the luminaria ceremony.

The Luminaria Ceremony finished with a lap of participants carrying candles.

This year's guest speaker during the Survivor Ceremony was cancer survivor Rusty Miller of Pottstown.

Cancer survivors prepare to walk the first lap of the annual Relay for Life held last Saturday and Sunday at the Upper Perkiomen High School.
