A 17-year-old Upper Milford boy was killed last Thursday after his vehicle crashed on Palm Road in Lower Milford.
According to PA State Police, Fogelsville, Benjamin Michael Albro, an Emmaus High School junior, was west on the roadway a little after 7 p.m. when his vehicle swerved off the road. Authorities said the 2000 BMW Z3 convertible he was driving went across the eastbound lane, over the shoulder where it began to rotate clockwise.
The BMW’s passenger side then struck a tree, causing the vehicle to roll onto its roof. Police said the vehicle skid on its roof for approximately 100 feet before coming to rest in a field.
According to authorities, Albro was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lehigh County Coroner. His death was subsequently ruled accidental due to multiple blunt force trauma.
Police said they are still investigating the cause of the crash.
Services for Albro were held in Allentown Wednesday afternoon.
