Adeline E. Cichon
Adeline E. Cichon, 91, of Pennsburg, and formerly of Drums, passed away on August 31, 2011 at Pennsburg Manor Nursing Home, Pennsburg.
Born in Upper Lehigh on July 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Drasher) Herring and resided all her life in Drums before moving to Red Hill 22 years ago.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, John Cichon, who passed away in 1975; a daughter, Margaret Cichon, in 1979; a granddaughter, Cindy Laub; a son-in-law, Michael O’Connell; a brother, Calvin Herring; and sisters, Dorothy Krause, Edith Cunfer, Hazel Russell and Ruth Klinger.
Surviving are a son, Thomas W. Cichon and wife, Sylvia, Sellersville; two daughters, Stella O’Connell, Red Hill; and Patricia Cichon, Palm; brother, Alvin Herring and wife, Alice, Collegeville; eight grandchildren: Joe Cichon and wife, Kim, Nicole Moyer and husband, Tom, Robert Horn and wife, Donna, Carol McHugh and husband, James, Theresa Bidlow and husband, Leon, Elizabeth Wimmer and husband, Don, Missy J. and John Miezitis; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing and services were held at Harman Funeral Home in Drums.
