LeRoy Mark Oelschlager, 62, of Towne Lake Hills in Woodstock, died
peacefully April 25th after a year- long battle with ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease. He leaves behind his wife Anna and 2 children, Annika age 14 and Zachary, age 12.
Originally from Red Hill, Pennsylvania, Mark was the son of Doris Oelschlager of Frederick, PA and was the brother to Judy and David Formalarie, Richard and Denise Oelschlager, Patty and Toy Tachayapong, Russell and Barbara Oelschlager, and Janet and John Pescatore. Mark was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Oelschlager, who died in April 2013. He also leaves behind an aunt and uncle and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mark graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 1970 and Northwest Missouri State University. He worked for over 30 years in healthcare benefits and in life and health insurance. He served his community as the president of the Towne Lake Hills Homeowners Association for many years and worked tirelessly to make the community a better place. He was actively involved in the Hobgood youth baseball program, and enjoyed golf, skiing and spending time with family and friends.
A private family viewing was held prior to his cremation. A celebration of Mark's life will be held for friends and neighbors at a later date.
