Milford Twp. Man Arrested on Drug Charges
As a result of a joint investigation between the Quakertown Borough Police and the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations Northeast Strike Force, a Milford Township man was arrested on several drug related charges.
Justin Smith, 25, of Upper Ridge Road was arrested on Tuesday and charged with the Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility.
According to police, Smith was observed selling susbected heroin in the 1400 block West Broad Street and he was taken into custody. Additional suspected heroin was found in his possession along with a large sum of cash.
Smith was placed on State Parole Detainer for a parole violation and transported to Bucks County Prison, awaiting arraignment on the Quakertown charges.
The investigation was partially funded by the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.
According to court records, in 2012 Smith pled guilty to charges of Manufacture, Delivery or Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of a Controlled Substance by a Person not Registered or Licensed and other charges stemming from his arrest in July of 2011.
He was sentenced to 249 days in prison, with credit for time served, and a minimum of 3 years of probation. Court records show that he failed to report as required, beginning in September of 2013.
