Willing U. "Buddy"  Weidner, 79, of Pennsburg,

died peacefully at home March 8, 2014. Willing (Buddy) was born in 1934 in Philadelphia, PA.  He was a son of the late Willing & Louise Weidner Sr.  He was a sharp shooter and tank commander in the Korean War, for which he received a Good Conduct Medal.

He was a lifelong truck driver, starting as an Owner-Operator in Morrisville, PA before working for Pillsbury for 20 years, and then for Blooming Glen Contractors, retiring in 2002.  He was a member of the Moose and the American Legion.  Buddy loved spending time with his family - both at home and at his mountain property.  He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting, and deep sea fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Norma Jean (Workley) Weidner; two sons:  Dale Weidner, and his wife, Tani, of Pottstown; and Jerry Weidner, and his wife Christina, of Boyertown; siblings: Jean Gant, Mary Lou Pepper, Robert Weidner, and Carol Weidner; three granddaughters, Diane, Rachel, and Alexis; one great-granddaughter, Maleah Mikanowicz; nieces, Ursula, Vanessa, Shannon, Robin, Lori, and Beth;  nephews:  Tommy and Harry, and many cousins.  He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Lisa Kay, and a brother, Thomas Weidner.

At his request, there will be no viewing.  A memorial service will be at a later date at his favorite spot in the mountains.  The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg is in charge of arrangements.

Contributions may be made in his memory to the Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, Pa  18960.
