William N. Schultz
William N. Schultz, 92, of Frederick Living, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2013. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Anders) Schultz, who passed away in 2007. He was the son of the late Albert S. and Bertha (Metz) Schultz. Bill graduated from East Greenville High School in 1939.
He served his country honorably as an airplane mechanic instructor in the Air Force during WW II. Bill began his career as an electrician and appliance technician for the former Klink's Electric in Pennsburg. Later, he started his own appliance repair service in the Upper Perkiomen Valley, retiring in 1986.
He was a very active member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher, a church moderator, and a member of the General Conference Mission Board. Bill was also active in Boy Scouting for 75 years. A long time Scout Master for Pennsburg Troop #90, he later was active in District Scouting and received the Silver Beaver Award. He was a member of the Upper Perkiomen Senior Center and a past Vice President of the Board of Directors.
Bill is survived by two sons: Richard of Lansdowne, PA, and Roy of Erie, PA; two daughters, Linda, wife of W. Stephen Young, of Cresaptown, MD, and Nancy Yoder, of Skippack, PA; a sister, Verna Badman, of South Carolina; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen, who died while very young.
All are invited to a visitation at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, and then from 10 - 11 a.m. on Friday at the Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 833 Gravel Pike in Palm,. Services will be held in the church sanctuary immediately following the visitation. Interment will follow the services in the church cemetery.
