REQUEST FOR BIDS
The Marlborough Township Board of Supervisors will receive sealed bids for the rental of hauling, milling, paving and compaction equipment and vehicles with laborers/operators. Bids will be received at the Municipal Building, 6040 Upper Ridge Road, Green Lane, PA 18054 until 10:45 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2013 when they will be opened and read at 11:00 AM. All submitted bids should be clearly marked: “Sealed Bids – 2013 Road Improvements.” No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the date of the reading of the bids.
Bid specifications are available for public inspection at the Municipal Building. Proposals must be on forms furnished by Township. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or other acceptable form of security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, drawn to the order of Marlborough Township. All bidders are required to submit a Non-collusion Affidavit (provided with bid packet). Bids will be reviewed and, if appropriate, awarded at the Board of Supervisor meeting scheduled for April 10, 2013 at 7:00PM. The award will run consecutively until April 30, 2014.
The successful bidder must provide a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond, Worker’s Compensation Affidavit and Certificate of Insurance naming Marlborough Township as additional injured. Payment bond required.
PA Prevailing wage rates apply to this project for all delivered Superpave materials, milling, paving, and roller equipment rental with laborers/drivers/operators utilized during road construction projects. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in part or in full, and to waive any informalities during the bidding process.
