NOTICE TO BIDDERS

       Sealed bids will be received for supply of the following materials and equipment rental to the Township of Upper Hanover, at the Municipal Building, 1704 Pillsbury Road, P.O. Box 27, East Greenville, PA 18041, anytime until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read.  The Township will review the bids and if appropriate the Board of Supervisors will act on the bids at the March 12, 2013 meeting scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building.  All submitted bid envelopes shall be clearly marked: “Sealed Bid” and shall identify the bid as being for Road Materials or Equipment Rental.

 EQUIPMENT RENTAL

Approximately 50 hours each – Bituminous paver w/operator, screed operator and two laborers – moving equipment to township

Approximately 50 hours – Two (2) Vibratory Tandem Rollers w/10 ton minimum static w/operator

 Each – moving equipment to township

Approximately 100 hours – Tri-Axel Dump Truck w/operator

Approximately 20 hours – Skid Steer Milling Machine with milling head for milling of start, stop and driveway paving notches with operator and two laborers – moving equipment to township

NOTE:  Bituminous paver w/operator, screed operator and two laborers, vibratory tandem roller w/10 ton minimum static w/operator and skid steer milling machine with operator and two laborers will be awarded to single bidder.

Approximately 50 hours Motorized Shoulder Machine w/operator

Each – moving equipment to township

Gradall w/ditching bucket w/operator (50hours more or less)

All bidders required to submit non-collusion affidavits (provided with bid package) and material safety data sheets (if applicable)

Performance Bond with Workers’ Compensation Affidavit and Certificate of Insurance must be provided by successful bidder

Bid specifications are on file and open for public inspection at the Municipal Building and may be secured from the Township Manager.  Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee acceptable to the Township in the sum of ten (10%) percent of the bid and drawn to the order of Upper Hanover Township.  No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the date of reading of bids.

Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates apply to this project for all delivered superpave asphalt materials and all paver, roller and other equipment rental used on paving projects.

The Township reserves the right to estimate quantities of materials to be bid upon without obligation to purchase more or less of said quantities than actually needed; to reject any and all bids, in part or in full; and to waive any informalities in bids.
