LEGAL NOTICE MARLBOROUGH TOWNSHIP
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA
NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of MarlboroughTownship will hold a public meeting on Monday, December17,2012 at 7:00 PM to consider enactment of an ordinance authorizing a fee schedule, penalties, and interest for the collection of delinquent real estate taxes. The meeting will be held in the township building located at 6040 Upper Ridge Road, Green Lane, PA, 18054. The public is invited to attend and comment. Persons with disabilities wishing to attend the meeting and requiring auxiliary aid, service, or other accommodations to participate, should contact the Township Manager,EleanorF.Sadorf,at215-234-9300. The Board of Supervisors may consider enactment of the ordinance at this meeting.
The full text of the proposed ordinance may be examined, without charge, and copies may be obtained for a charge no greater than the cost of reproduction, at the offices of this newspaper, and at the Marlborough Township Building during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
A summary of the proposed ordinance setting forth all the provisions in reasonable detail is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A FEE SCHEDULE, PENALTIES, AND INTEREST FOR THE COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT REAL ESTATE TAXES
Section1 provides for the collection o fdelinquent real estate taxes, and appoints the Montgomery County Tax Claim Bureau as the alternative collector of delinquent real estate taxes in MarlboroughTownship.
Section2 sets forth the interest rate to be charged on delinquent real estate taxes.
Section3 sets forth the charges, expenses, and fees, including reasonable attorney’s fees, to be charged on delinquent real estate taxes.
Section4 provides that the ordinance supersedes all ordinances inconsistent with the ordinance.
Section 5 provides that if any provision in the ordinance is invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 6 provides the effective date of the ordinance.
