INVITATION TO BID
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Borough of Red Hill, 56 W. 4th Street, Red Hill, PA 18076, until 2:00 P.M., prevailing time on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 for curb and sidewalk replacement as needed.
Sealed bids will be opened at the Borough of Red Hill office at the above mentioned location and referred to the Borough Council for final award/approval. Bidders and other interested parties may attend the bid opening, which will be held immediately after the receipt of bids.
It is the Borough’s intent to obtain fixed unit prices to be utilized by both Red Hill Borough and Red Hill property owners for sidewalk and curb maintenance work they obtain through separate contracts with the selected contractor. The selected contractor will perform the work at the approved unit prices to Red Hill Borough and to any Red Hill property owner who contracts with the selected contractor for such work at any time during the length of the contract.
Contract documents may be inspected and obtained at the office of the Engineer, Barry Isett & Associates, Inc. 85 South Route 100, Allentown, PA 18106 Phone: 610-398-0904 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Primary bidders may secure contract documents for $50.00 (Fifty Dollars) per set, non-refundable, beginning at noon on Monday, September 24, 2012. The check for the bidding documents should be made payable to Barry Isett & Associates, Inc. The documents may be sent via Fed-ex, upon request, with a supplied Fed-Ex account number or receipt of a separate, non-refundable check in the amount of $25.00 made payable to Barry Isett & Associates, Inc. for shipping fees.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, plainly marked on the outside “CURB AND SIDEWALK FOR THE 2012-2013 BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAM (VARIOUS LOCATIONS), BID NO. 2012-001”and mailed or delivered to the Borough of Red Hill, 56 W. 4th Street, Red Hill, PA 18076 before the hour and date above specified.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. prevailing time at the Borough Hall. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend.
Questions may be submitted in writing via fax (610-481-9098) or by email to Mr. Richard Fain (firstname.lastname@example.org) at the engineer’s office on or before Friday, October 5, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. Responses will be provided to all registered plan holders no later than Monday, October 8, 2012 at 5:00 P.M.
The Borough of Red Hill reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or portions or to waive any informality in bidding and to withhold award for a period of sixty days.
