Workers of the new Dunkin’ Donuts in Milford Township pose with co-owner Scott Hussmann and their friendly Coffee Cup mascot. Dunkin’ Donuts is having their grand opening Saturday, Feb. 20 and Sunday, Feb. 21.
The wait for “America’s Best Coffee” and fresh donuts is over.
After three years of planning and six months of construction, the locally owned and operated Dunkin’ Donuts in Milford Township, located on Route 663 by the turnpike interchange, is now open and ready for business.
The building first opened its doors two weeks ago, but is planning their grand opening for Saturday, Feb. 21 and Sunday, Feb. 22, said Scott Hussmann, co-owner with Robert Lord, of the Dunkin’ Donuts franchise in Milford, Pennsburg, Coopersburg and Montgomeryville.
The Milford location has proved to be successful so far in the few weeks it has been open. Hussmann explained there have been a variety of people coming into the café; commuters who travel the turnpike, people from business meetings at the neighboring hotels, and familiar faces from the Dunkin’ Donuts in Pennsburg, to name a few.
The familiar chain coffee and donut shop packs a new punch at the Milford location, including free Wi-Fi, plenty of seating, and a front patio that reportedly will be converted into an outdoor café in the Spring.
Hussmann, who has been in the restaurant business for 34 years and a Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee for three years, and the 35 employees at the Milford location are looking forward to their grand opening.
Children will have the opportunity to make donuts at the location from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on both Saturday and Sunday. Parents should also be sure to bring their cameras along for pictures of their children with the Dunkin’ Coffee Cup.
Dunkin’ Donuts is open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
