Howard Peck: Making Medicare Easy

If you are over 65 years old and are tired of and confused with searching through pages upon pages to choose the correct type of healthcare, there is a simple solution. His name is Howard Peck.

Peck, who once owned and operated a coffee service company in Conshocken for nearly twenty years, traded that in when he realized the personal rewarding qualities that came with helping people choose healthcare, especially senior citizens.

Helping people has always come easy to Peck, a resident of Pennsburg and an avid volunteer at The Open Line. His motto of “making Medicare easy,” has given him the opportunity to provide Medicare supplement plans to over 100 clients.

The Medicare supplement plans allow people to have full health coverage. An example of a serious injury or surgery might only be 80% covered by Medicare, with the other percentage of coverage coming from a supplement plan.

While Peck admits that choosing insurance plans can sometimes be confusing for seniors, he prides himself on being able to navigate his way through the plans and presenting choices for his clients. As Peck explained, “All insurance companies have to sell the same plans, but can charge different prices.”

Peck, an insurance broker who represents different companies, can offer his clients the plan that is available for, hopefully, a lower cost. He is able to look at  clients’ pre-existing health conditions in order to see what coverage they need, rather than having his clients wade through pages of paperwork themselves.

Serving as the middle man between clients and insurance companies, Peck’s clients know they can always call him with questions, rather than trying to get through to the government’s Medicare phone line.

“I take Medicare from complexity to clarity,” Peck explained. “I am able to filter through different choices to show my clients basic plans. You might not be getting the best value if you go to one insurance agency.”

Peck takes pride in belonging to the National Association of Medicare Supplement Advisors, as well as the Senior Education Network so he can constantly learn new information to tell his clients.

Peck offers free consultations and is willing to talk on the phone with clients to go over their options. His services do not cost anything either, as they are covered by insurance.

Peck offers most major Medicare Insurance, as well as Medi-Gap, Medicare Advantage and Part D Drug Plans. He also specializes in long-term care and short-term care insurance.
