Pedrick Sitework Contractors has set its "sites" on making a name for itself.
The business, based in Pennsburg, has already garnered a lot of attention across the region since 2006 when owner and longtime Upper Perkiomen Valley resident Josh Pedrick, an industry veteran, opened its doors.
But what really sets them apart from their competitors are their core values.
“Our company values center on integrity and honesty. We hold our employees, subcontractors and vendors to the same values. A project we can be proud of completing and want our company name associated with is more important to us than the paycheck,” said Pedrick.
The business, which specializes in clearing and demolition services, excavation, utilities, curbing, paving and planning and estimating, has recently grown to employ upwards of 40. Pedrick noted that with that growth, the company is looking for top talent in the industry and individuals with creative ideas who will continually help move them forward.
This year they completed the $22 million Owatin Creek Elementary School in Exeter Township, Berks County. The district held groundbreaking for the school June 5.
Pedrick takes pride in meeting and exceeding customer expectations, as it did in the school project which was completed about a month ahead of schedule and under original cost projections.
The company is also working on the Teva Pharmaceuticals building expansion in Telford, the Lower Salford Sanitary Sewer improvements and construction of a Dunkin’ Donuts in Exeter and the Islamic Society of Greater Valley Forge, among other projects.
“Our reputation in the industry for quality work has provided us opportunities in many different areas, both in the diversity of projects and geographic locations,” Pedrick noted. “Our employees are devoted to working hard and exceeding the expectations of our customers…We take pride in rising to the challenge.”
Some of those challenges stem from financial constraints.
“In this economy, businesses have to creatively think outside the box,” Pedrick explained. “We challenge our estimators to find creative, cost-effective measures to meet the customers’ expectations and ensure a quality project completion.”
Pedrick has been continually evolving as successful companies must do in the construction business, the owner noted. They were recently certified as a PennDOT-qualifed contractor which will allow them to have greater exposure in highway projects. They are also undergoing certification in various safety programs.
